FREE ILLINOIS ACT" AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS - 1/08
The "Smoke Free Illinois
Act" can impact all funeral homes in Illinois. A copy of
the act is available to all FDSA members by clicking
here. You will be asked for your member ID and
password. If you have forgotten it, please contact the office

2008 REFERENCE
GUIDE AVAILABLE - 1/08
The FDSA Reference
Guide and Diary, a compilation of membership, cemeteries,
hospitals, churches, registrars, laws and rules is published
annually. All FDSA members receive a copy of the Reference
Guide as a benefit of membership. The 2008 Reference
Guide will be available shortly.

PUBLISHES NEW BROCHURE - 7/07
Included with the
May-June 2007 Newsletter was a brochure entitled "Public Aid
Provisions for Pre-Arranged, Pre-Financed Funeral Plans".
It explains in some detail the recent substantial modifications made
by IDPA
in the regulations regarding prepaid funeral/burial plans. It
was prepared specifically for FDSA members to use with their
clients. FDSA members can click

NEW FDSA
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR INTRODUCED - 3/07
FDSA is pleased to announce the
hire of a new Executive Director. Carol A. Schreiber has fifteen years
of experience in association management.
She has an additional eleven years of experience in corporate
environments.
She
has served as an Executive Director of a county bar association, and
has directed the day-to-day office operations of another association
providing fundamental support to the Association chief staff
executive and other key staff.
In
her role as an Executive Director, she provided high-level
managerial support to the association’s President, Board of
Directors and Committee Chairs.
She managed all aspects of human resources and programmatic
offerings.
Ms.
Schreiber has a BS in Business Management from National Louis
University in Wheaton, Illinois.
